Even More Rejected Names

We have been asked by many what is the name of our son. After the sex of our child this is the most asked question. We wanted to know that we have rejected some more names.

Martin Luther

Names that are rejected are Benjamin Junior or Benjamin II. We are not real fans of naming our son after me. We have also rejected family names. These are not done to not honor our fathers or grandfathers but as a specific decision on our part.

Charles Spurgeon

We have rejected hero names also. Many couples talk about how they are going to name their children after hero. Some hero names that we have rejected are Luther, Spurgeon, John, and Heman.

Highlander

Crazy names have been rejected. We have looked at some names that have been used in Brazil or the United States. Names rejected include Highlander, Denim, Ceasar, Amado Amoroso, and José Xixi.

Covid-19 Update

As we continue in this global pandemic it is very interesting to see what is happening. There are spikes that seem to be happening as the restrictions are being lifted. We recently changed from the orange band to the yellow band in our city. This was celebrated by many.

John’s Hopkins Covid information

We went from 473 total cases on October 16 with none hospitalized to 483 total cases on October 21 with non hospitalized to 535 with three hospitalized on October 30. That is a spike of 62 in the 14 days sense the yellow band was instituted. I think that this was expected.

We have been in contact with the mayor and he said that they are concerned with the increased cases. He made it clear that we can still meet as a church but we are needing to be more careful. Voting

In Brazil it is mandatory that everyone votes and if you don’t you could have problems with some of your required documents in the future.

I voted

In the US it is our civic duty to vote but not a requirement if you don’t want to vote. I have voted and am glad to be able to do my civic duty. This is an important part of being an American Citizen.

Do your own research!

It is important no matter what country you are a part of to know who and what you are voting for. I can remember many times when I have researched different propositions that would have added to the taxes that I pay. It is also important to know the person and what they stand for who you are voting for.

Jesus is King

I do really believe that the Scriptures teach that no matter who is the president or political party in charge that Jesus is King. This is who we talk about and who we preach. As a missionary we don’t talk about politics but we preach Jesus Christ as the only Lord and Savior.

We were given a stroller and baby carrier by friends of ours. We were so thankful for these gifts. They are good quality but the seat pads were old and worn.

Tati was able to take some fabric that we had and make the seats. The fabric that we had laying around was great because it is awesome colors for our son.

I am so thankful that Tati has the skills to had stitch all of the pads. She has done a wonderful job for all of these pads on the stroller.
